Privacy policy

Last updated 1 October 2026. This policy describes how SisterSite handles personal data in line with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) where it applies.

1. Data controller

This website (sistersite.nz) and the processing of personal data that takes place on it are the responsibility of SisterSite. For any privacy questions, requests or corrections, you can contact us at info@sistersite.nz.

In this policy, "we" means SisterSite and "you" means anyone who visits the site. SisterSite is an independent guide to casino sister sites, not a casino, and this policy covers sistersite.nz only.

2. Our principles

We collect only what is needed to run, secure and improve the site. We do not sell personal data and we do not collect sensitive information. We do not offer gambling services or open player accounts, so we do not process payment or gaming-account details.

The site is for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18, and if we learn that we hold such data, we delete it.

3. What data we collect and on what basis

Reading the site needs no registration or login. We collect personal data in two ways only: what you choose to send us, and what your browser sends when it loads a page.

Contact messages: if you email us at info@sistersite.nz, we keep your email address, your name if you give it, and your message so we can reply. Basis for processing: legitimate interest or consent.

Server logs: IP address, timestamp and browser details for security and to prevent misuse. Basis for processing: legitimate interest.

Analytics and cookies: this site does not currently use visitor analytics or set its own cookies. If that changes, we will update this policy first and ask for consent where it is needed.

We use this data only to answer your messages, keep the site secure and working, and fix problems you report. We make no automated decisions about you and build no profiles of visitors.

This site may contain affiliate links. When you move through a link to a third-party website, that site's own privacy policy applies, which we have no control over. Casinos and affiliate networks may set their own cookies on their own sites.

Our pages load their fonts from our own server, so reading them sends no request to Google or to any other outside company.

Opening an account at a casino we write about means giving your name, date of birth, address and payment details to that casino, so read its policy first.

The company that hosts the site processes the server logs on our behalf. If the law requires it, for example on a valid request from a New Zealand authority, we disclose the personal data we hold, limited to what the request needs.

5. Transfers outside New Zealand

Our website is hosted on servers in Germany, so the server logs described above are stored outside New Zealand. Where a provider we use holds or processes personal data overseas, we make sure the transfer has an appropriate safeguard, such as comparable privacy protections or standard contractual clauses, in line with applicable data-protection law.

6. Retention and data security

We do not keep data longer than we need it. Emails you send us are kept for 12 months from the date of your last message, then deleted. Server logs are kept for up to 90 days, then deleted automatically. If you ask us to delete your data before then, we do so within 30 days, unless the law requires us to keep it.

We protect the data with appropriate technical and organisational measures, such as encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access controls, and only the people who run the site can read messages and logs. If a breach puts your personal data at risk of serious harm, we will tell you and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.

7. Your rights

You have the rights set out in applicable data-protection law: the right to access your data, to correct or delete it, to restrict or object to processing, to have your data ported from one system to another, and to withdraw any consent you have given. We handle requests without undue delay. Send your request to info@sistersite.nz.

Say which data you mean when you write. We may ask you to confirm who you are before we act, so that your data does not go to someone else.

8. Right to complain

If you believe we are processing your data in breach of data-protection law, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority. In New Zealand, the supervisory authority is the Office of the Privacy Commissioner (privacy.org.nz).

You can also write to us first, and we will try to put things right.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy, for example when legislation or our services change. We will publish the updated version on this page and note the date of the change at the top of the policy.
